Devon A. Sojourner Spier

Devon Spier is an ir-reverent design theologian and the founder and owner of “JEW-ish Designs” art depot and book press as well as Ir-reverence, the first world spirituality fashion house on the planet.

She is the author of two bestsellers, "Heart Map and the Song of Our Ancestors" (2018), which just received a NYC Big Book Award for “Distinguished Favorite” in the category of Judaism in 2026, and "Whatever it is, gently: Quiet Meditations for the Noise of the Pandemic" (2020), the latter of which received an International Impact Book Award for Poetry and Contemporary Poetry in 2024 and, in 2025, a finalist medallion in Hollywood for the Author of the Year award in the category of Non-Fiction – Spiritual Awakening & Conscious Living from Impact, as well.

Thus far in 2026, Devon has released her third book, “Refracted: The Jewish Anti-Fascist Liturgical Playbook for the Prismatic Shifting of Global Jewish Life”, and continues to teach Jewish sensory torah with mixed-media arts. She has been honoured as a nominee for Democracy in Action’s inaugural Sports, Arts, and Culture for Civic Impact for Democracy award, with her peacebuilding work taught by Rutgers University, Kindred Credit Union Centre for Peace Advancement and The Ripple Effect Education.

Her canvases are presently permanently displayed in the IKAR Los Angeles community and her first solo art exhibition is scheduled at Gerrard Art Space gallery in Spring 2027.
