Becky Lawrence

Becky Lawrence is a parenting coach, youth development specialist, and mother of three teenagers. With over 15 years of experience working with families, schools, and youth organization. She has dedicated her career to bridging the gap between what teens learn in school and what they actually need to thrive as independent adults.

She holds a Master's degree in Adolescent Development and has worked as a school counselor, family therapist, and youth program director. She's trained hundreds of parents through workshops, coaching programs, and community presentations on topics ranging from teen mental health to financial literacy to digital citizenship.

Her approach is grounded in research but deeply practical. She believes that parenting teenagers doesn't require perfection—it requires intention, honesty, and a willingness to let your teen struggle in safe ways. She's seen firsthand how teens flourish when parents step back from solving every problem and instead teach them to solve problems themselves.

Becky lives in Portland, Oregon, with her husband, three teenagers (ages 14, 16, and 18), and an overly enthusiastic golden retriever. When she's not working with families or writing, you'll find her hiking, reading parenting research papers (yes, really), or having long conversations with her kids about life, values, and why they still can't remember to do their laundry.

She's passionate about raising a generation of young adults who are capable, resilient, and kind—and she believes every parent has what it takes to do that.
