Dr. Matthew Irwin is an educator, researcher, and author whose work challenges the industrial foundations of modern schooling and inspires a new era of learning. With over fourteen years of full-time classroom experience in Health Science education, Dr. Irwin combines practical insight with research in instructional leadership, neuroscience, and learning science to help teachers transform classrooms into spaces for authentic thinking and mastery.

His first book, The Rise and Fall of the Modern Education System, launched the acclaimed Education Renaissance series—a movement dedicated to reimagining how schools cultivate curiosity, creativity, and deep understanding.
