Julio Valenzuela is a certified bilingual Marriage and Family Therapist and Spanish Studies Professor. He holds Master’s degrees in Spanish from San Jose State University and Counseling Psychology from Santa Clara University. Specializing in trauma, anxiety, depression, and family displacement, Julio provides therapeutic services to families and children (ages 0-6) in Santa Clara County, California. He also conducts parent workshops focused on stress management, transformative communication, and evidence-based parenting strategies. In 2018, Julio traveled to Costa Rica to take a Spiritual Psychology class as part of his graduate studies. This experience inspired the story of this book, which intends to serve as a therapeutic tool to empower communities and strengthen family relationships.
