Jade Autumn Steele

Jade Autumn Steele is a children's book author and illustrator who believes every family deserves to know the joy of a "house hippo" - better known as a loveable pit bull.

Inspired by her own pit bull, Loki, Jade created The House Hippo to celebrate the silly, affectionate, and gentle personalities that have made these dogs so special to her. Through playful stories and cozy illustrations, she hopes to bring smiles to children while helping families see pit bulls in a new light.

When she's not drawing or writing, Jade enjoys spending time with her family, creating art, and dreaming up new adventures for the House Hippo series.

Thank you for reading and welcoming the House Hippo into your home!
