Hi, I'm David.

I've enjoyed writing and creating stories and worlds since a very young age, but for a long time life got in the way. I've built a career in English language teaching, written a successful education blog, written some coursebooks (including for Cambridge University Press), and focused on raising my family - the usual! Through all of that I've always loved reading fantasy and sci-fi and the urge to tell my own stories never really went away, it just lay there, dormant, but not forgotten.

"The Hidden Myths of the Hills" is my first step back into that world. It actually started during the pandemic as a way to get my kids out of the door and off on a walk - I started inventing stories about the landscapes and places we went wandering, bribing them with promises of meeting giants and searching for witches' houses. Eventually i thought other readers might enjoy them too, so I decided to dust them off, play around with them a little, and to put them in a book.
