Joel Joseph

Joel Joseph is an attorney, constitutional scholar, and author whose work focuses on constitutional law, civil rights, and the

impact of judicial decisions on American society. Through extensive legal research and analysis, he examines how Supreme

Court rulings have shaped the nation's history, influenced public policy, and affected constitutional rights across generations.

Joel D. Joseph is the author of twenty books, most about law. A graduate of Georgetown University Law Center, Mr. Joseph earned his economics degree at Northwestern University.

Mr. Joseph’s constitutional law professor at Georgetown was Chester Antieau. It was during Prof. Antieau’s constitutional law class that the germination of this book began.

Mr. Joseph has presented many cases to the Supreme Court, representing a diverse client base. His clients included more than sixty members of Congress, among them Senators Eugene McCarthy, Howard Metzenbaum and Trent Lott. He also represented Madeline Murray O’Hair, the director of the American Atheists.
