Gillian Crighton

Hello! I’m Gillian, a retired NHS physiotherapist from Dundee, Scotland.

After spending thirty-five years supporting people as they recovered from stroke, I wanted to write a story that would help children understand that difficult times don’t have to take away hope.

Mr Dekker Bounces Back combines adventure, friendship and imagination while gently introducing young readers to resilience and recovery. My hope is that it sparks conversations, brings smiles, and reminds children that amazing things can happen when people believe in one another.

I’m delighted to be donating a portion of the proceeds to organisations supporting stroke recovery.
