Ray Adam

I studied German Language and Literature, History, and Computer Science, and spent many years working as a secondary school teacher and lecturer in youth and adult education. Later, I founded and managed my own company specializing in networking and communication technology.

Since 2008, I have devoted myself extensively to writing. My first major project was the fantasy trilogy The Shadow Powers, which blends historical reality with mythology, mysticism, and speculative fantasy.

Alongside my fiction, I have spent decades exploring political, historical, and social developments in Germany. In my non-fiction books, I combine historical analysis with contemporary questions concerning democracy, the state, and society.

My literary work is complemented by THE SHADOW POWERS TIMES, my bilingual online magazine.
