James P. Winge is the creator of The Adventures of Pickles the Cat™, a children's book series that follows a curious black cat and wildlife photographer Paige Lockhart on unforgettable adventures around the world.

Inspired by his beloved cat, Jinx, James created Pickles to help young readers discover amazing animals, different cultures, and the importance of protecting our natural world. Each story blends exciting adventure with real wildlife, geography, and conservation, encouraging children to explore, ask questions, and dream big.

James grew up in Southern California, where he spent his days surfing, skateboarding, and developing a lifelong love for the ocean and the outdoors. He now resides in Oregon with his wife, Tina, where they enjoy exploring the state's beautiful coastline, photographing wildlife, and finding inspiration for Pickles' next adventure.

His growing collection includes storybooks, hardcover editions, and companion coloring books, with many more global adventures planned for Pickles and Paige.
