Tamer Metwally

Tamer Metwally is an emerging independent author based in Madrid whose work explores history, technology, neurodivergence and the practical systems people use to navigate everyday life. He is the creator of the Timo Adventures series, a collection of children’s picture books following Timo, a sharp-witted black Egyptian street cat who travels through ancient history and quietly takes credit for some of its most famous moments.

His adult nonfiction draws on lived experience with ADHD, autism and anxiety, alongside his professional work with AI and automation. His book ADHD, Assisted explores how AI can support starting, remembering, deciding and returning after interruptions without replacing human judgement.

Across both children’s fiction and practical nonfiction, Tamer writes with curiosity, clarity and dry humour, making complex ideas approachable without oversimplifying them.
