Vijay Sharma is an author, poet, and painter, and the author of Forget Your Age: Remember Your Roots, Book One of The Reaching — a tetralogy tracing the human act of reaching toward wholeness.
For fifty-one years he has been absorbing literature from many cultures, slowly finding his own voice through oil on canvas, poetry, and prose. Trained as a mechanical engineer with a master's in business administration, he lived thirty-seven years as a learning, evolving engineer before the questions he had carried quietly all his life asked to be written down.
His writing grows from decades of contemplative and meditative practice, and from an unusual double life: by day he runs an engineering business in Pune; by night he writes fiction and philosophy at his desk, often into the small hours. He believes the factory floor and the meditation cushion teach the same lesson — that attention, given fully, transforms whatever it touches.
Vijay lives between Pune and Goa, India. He paints, writes poetry, and has kept a management blog since 2014, where engineering and philosophy meet.
He writes, always, in the spirit of three words: Love · Kindness · Compassion.
