Deepak Gupta

Dr Deepak Gupta MD, MRCPsych is a consultant psychiatrist based in the United Kingdom, with thirty years of experience sitting with people in their most difficult moments.

He is also a student of the Bhagavad Gita — and it turns out that thirty years in a consulting room and thirty years with an ancient Indian scripture teach you roughly the same things, just in different languages.

He writes about that. Sometimes through a chip shop owner in Palghar who has never heard of the Gita but is living it anyway. Sometimes through patients whose suffering pointed somewhere that no diagnosis quite reached. Sometimes through a Zen monk, a Sufi mystic, and a Cherokee elder who are all, it turns out, making the same argument.
