CJ Pérez

CJ Pérez is the founder of NIRA BOOKS, an independent children's publisher dedicated to creating meaningful stories that inspire courage, kindness, empathy, resilience, and imagination.

He also writes original songs for children: his original songs — Tavi's Nap Time, Tavi's Bedtime, This Morning Time and Tavi Cuenta Conmigo — bring the world of his books to life through music for little ones, from nap time to bedtime.

His books, for ages 3 to 8, celebrate friendship, family, hope, and the small acts of love that shape a lifetime. Each story encourages meaningful conversations between children and the adults who read with them.

His growing catalog, published in five languages (English, Spanish, French, German and Portuguese), includes Tavi and Eko: The Guardian of the Night, Annie and the Turtle Who Knew the Way, Emi and the Promise of the Wind, Ron and the Magic of the Storm, Teo and Niko: The Day of the Golden Wasps, and more original stories.

Meaningful stories for a magical childhood.
