Zeraiah I. Hogan

Zaraiah I. Hogan is a children's book author and storyteller with a deep passion for bringing African culture, heritage and values to life through vibrant illustrated folktales.

Born and raised in Nigeria, Zaraiah writes stories rooted in the rich oral storytelling traditions of West Africa — tales of clever tortoises, brave little hares, courageous antelopes and the timeless lessons they carry.

Her Savanna Creek Animal Tales series was created for children everywhere — and especially for children in the diaspora who deserve to see their African heritage reflected in the books they love and the stories they grow up with.

When she is not writing, Zaraiah is passionate about empowering African creators to share their stories with the world.

"Every child deserves a story that looks like home."
