Nadeya Lavandero

Nadeya Lavandero is an author, advocate, speaker, and founder of Ignis et Furor Iustus (Righteous Fire and Fury), an independent publishing imprint dedicated to stories forged in truth, refined through adversity, and grounded in faith.

A survivor of domestic violence, sexual abuse, and stalking, Nadeya writes at the intersection of faith, trauma, and redemption. Her work seeks to bring hope, understanding, and healing to survivors while increasing awareness of the realities of coercive control, trauma bonding, post-separation abuse, and the lasting effects of interpersonal violence. Drawing from both lived experience and years of professional training, she is passionate about equipping survivors, families, churches, and helping professionals with a deeper understanding of abuse and the hope of restoration.

In 2019, Nadeya founded Right to Protect, a California-based nonprofit organization that provides supportive services and resources to victims and survivors of domestic violence, sexual violence, human trafficking, and stalking, assisting those it serves with everything from escaping dangerous situations to rebuilding healthy and productive lives. Dedicated to protecting victims and their children while supporting families affected by abuse and court-related challenges, Nadeya is certified in domestic violence advocacy, batterer intervention facilitation, human trafficking advocacy, court advocacy, and is CASA trained. Her work is further informed by specialized training in coercive control, trauma, and sociopathic and psychopathic relationships. She continues to pursue her education in psychology and administration of justice as she works toward earning a Psy.D. in Clinical Forensic Psychology, deepening her understanding of abnormal psychology and the complex intersection between trauma, abuse, and the legal system.

Her debut book, But by the Grace of God: Faith for the Fallout, is a raw and unflinching memoir that chronicles her journey through abuse, healing, and faith. More than a personal testimony, it reflects her conviction that God does not waste suffering and that healing, purpose, and redemption remain possible—even after the deepest wounds.

When she isn't writing or serving survivors through education, nonprofit leadership, and public speaking, Nadeya enjoys spending time with her children, riding her motorcycle, and tinkering with motorcycle and automotive mechanics. She lives her life by faith and obedience, believing that what was meant for harm can be redeemed for good, and that every scar has the potential to become a source of hope for someone else.
