Dr. Jozlyn Hall is a forensic social worker, author, and mitigation specialist with doctoral degrees in Psychology and Religious Studies and a Master of Social Work. For more than 18 years, she has worked alongside attorneys, courts, and justice-involved individuals, conducting comprehensive psychosocial assessments and developing mitigation reports, reentry plans, and treatment recommendations that recognize the whole person rather than simply the offense.
Throughout her career, Dr. Hall identified a significant gap within the criminal justice system. While many individuals are expected to demonstrate rehabilitation, meaningful, affordable, and evidence-informed resources that promote personal growth and accountability are often limited, particularly for incarcerated individuals and those preparing to return to their communities. Recognizing this need, she developed the Inner Change, Outer Impact rehabilitation series, a practical collection of trauma-informed workbooks designed to foster self-awareness, emotional intelligence, accountability, conflict resolution, healthy relationships, parenting skills, and long-term behavioral change.
Drawing from years of experience interviewing thousands of justice-involved individuals, Dr. Hall combines psychological principles, social work practice, and restorative approaches to create programs that are both accessible and practical. Her books are designed for independent study, peer-led groups, correctional institutions, treatment providers, and community organizations seeking structured tools that support rehabilitation and successful reentry.
Dr. Hall's mission is to restore dignity, inspire hope, and provide opportunities for lasting change. She believes that while people must be accountable for their actions, they should also have access to meaningful resources that empower them to build healthier, more productive lives. Through her writing, training, and advocacy, she continues to work toward a criminal justice system that values rehabilitation alongside accountability.
