Z.D. Wilder is a mood reader, which naturally means she’s also a mood writer. While her debut novel, Through the Fire, is a dark contemporary romance, she loves exploring stories across genres, including sweet contemporary romance, historical fiction, romantasy, and maybe even the occasional paranormal romance. No matter the setting, she’s drawn to emotionally rich characters, unforgettable relationships, and stories that leave readers feeling something long after the final page.

When she’s not writing, she is a full-time teacher and a mom to two amazing kids. She spends her free time with her family, reading whatever fits her current mood, and curating playlists that capture the heart of every story she writes.

Whether her books are dark or light, magical or realistic, one thing remains the same: at their core, they’re stories about hope, healing, and the people who help us find our way home.
