His debut novel, The Beacon Keepers: First Light, follows three middle schoolers — Leo, Jada, and Max — who find a mysterious note, a cracked compass, and a challenge none of them expected: find your own light before you try to help anyone else find theirs.

Before he wrote fiction, G.M. Samuelson spent nearly thirty years leading teams and building things meant to last. It taught him something most twelve-year-olds already suspect — trust, integrity, and showing up for people aren't lessons you sit through. They're choices you make, one at a time, usually when no one's watching.

He's the founder of Lordsburg Press and the author of The Beacon Keepers series. He believes the best leaders rarely need the spotlight — and he writes for the kids who are quietly becoming them. He writes for readers ages 8–14, and for the parents, librarians, and educators who believe books can open better conversations about who we are, how we treat people, and what we choose to build together.
