Sayara Beg

Sayara Beg is a Chartered Engineer, Chartered Project Professional, university lecturer, consultant and storyteller. In her professional life, she works at the intersection of systems engineering, project management, data, AI, risk and transformation, bringing over 26 years of practitioner experience into higher education, consultancy and professional training. She is a Lecturer at UCL, where her work connects complex projects, systems thinking and applied professional education.

Alongside her academic and consulting work, Sayara writes picture books inspired by family memory, cultural heritage and the quiet wisdom passed between generations. Her Na-Nubba and Safia stories follow a curious young girl on magical childhood adventures in Pakistan, where everyday moments become lessons in confidence, voice, imagination and belonging.

Through her writing, Sayara brings together the rigour of her day job and the warmth of oral storytelling, creating books that can be enjoyed at home and used in primary classrooms to spark curiosity, conversation and cross-cultural understanding.
