Berfu Ege Sobe

Berfu Ege Sobe is an impact and sustainable development advisor, board member, speaker, and author. As an insider in the impact space, she writes about everything you should know to create real impact.

A lawyer by education and an impact maker by nature, Berfu works at one of the world's leading international development organisations, where she designs large-scale programmes and builds the funding strategies that bring them to life. Her days are spent mobilising resources and forging the partnerships that turn ambitious ideas into results on the ground, giving her a rare, first-hand view of what genuinely works and what only looks good on paper. Berfu serves on the Board of Directors of Fora: Network for Change, and on the advisory boards of many local and global organisations. Her career spans the impact space, international development and the NGO sector, the startup ecosystem, marketing, scaleups, and international relations. She is a recipient of the Diana Award. She holds an LL.M in International Arbitration & Investment Law from Erasmus University Rotterdam.

Her first book, Impact by Design, distils that experience into a central framework built on four dimensions for creating real impact, offering a practical blueprint for anyone who wants their work to matter, from founders and funders to policymakers and practitioners.
