Carol Westbrook

Carol A. Westbrook, MD, PhD, is a retired physician-scientist and the author of the Harry and the Dragons series. A graduate of the University of Chicago, she spent decades conducting oncology and genetics research, caring for patients while advancing the science behind their treatment. Since retiring in 2017, she has turned that same curiosity toward storytelling, founding Little Plum Press to publish books, articles, and blog posts that spark curiosity and a lifelong love of learning in young readers.

The Harry and the Dragons series follows two best friends and their loyal pet dragons, Bert and Lincoln, as ordinary school projects turn into real adventures, each one built around a place, a culture, or a piece of history worth discovering. Harry and the Dragons Visit the Pyramids is the second book in the series.
