Jerry Dean Melton

Jerry Melton is a Texas author, motorcycle enthusiast, and proud storyteller who believes that even the smallest adventures can teach life’s biggest lessons.

Drawing inspiration from his love of motorcycles, family, and the countryside, Jerry created The Hazel Adventures series to encourage children to discover courage, kindness, friendship, and confidence in themselves. Through Hazel, a cheerful little purple motorcycle, and her friends, young readers learn that everyone has unique strengths and that helping others can be the greatest adventure of all.

When he isn't writing, Jerry enjoys spending time with family, riding motorcycles, and working hands-on solving problems and fixing things. Hazel's First Adventure is his first published children's book, and he looks forward to sharing many more adventures with readers for years to come.

Jerry lives in Texas.
