Some say that Wynn D. Peak was born in Kentucky when a local librarian named Olivia planted in her backyard garden what she thought were the seeds of a summer squash. After about 54 days, Peak emerged from the soil a fully formed human adult (not a squash) with modest dreams of writing a novel.
The only certain thing which can be said about the writer W.D. Peak is that they are human, with human faults, that they attach great value to their privacy, and that they want no credit or reward for their work beyond the knowledge that people are reading it.
