Quim Aiguafreda

Quim Aiguafreda writes accessible books on philosophy for readers who would like to understand big ideas without first sacrificing several years of their lives to footnotes, academic jargon, and the quiet despair of specialist terminology. His work offers simple, clear introductions to philosophy, including modern philosophy, for anyone curious enough to ask difficult questions but sensible enough not to pretend the answers are easy.

His books will not turn readers into professional philosophers, which is probably for the best. They will, however, help them navigate different branches of philosophy, recognize the main ideas, and survive — perhaps even enjoy — a philosophical conversation should one suddenly appear in polite society.
