Robert A. Clark

Robert A. Clark writes literary crime fiction set in the humid, kudzu-choked corners of the American South, where the weight of a city’s forgotten history often sits buried in a filing cabinet.

A former technology business owner, Clark is fascinated by the quiet machinery of bureaucracy, the moral cost of doing the easy thing, and the unglamorous resilience of people who refuse to let the past stay closed. His debut novel, A Murder of Crows, is a sharp noir thriller following two detectives hunting a grieving killer who stages murders to avenge an erased Black artist.

He lives in Decatur, Georgia, with Milo, a ten-year-old Goldendoodle mix. When he isn't spending far too much time digging through archives and libraries, he is crafting his next Atlanta Noir thrillers featuring Sergeant Nolan Anderson and Detective Maeve Mitchell, alongside a forthcoming series universe introducing Mack, Eamon, Eithne, Terry, Midge, and Hen.
