Javier Deleon

**About the Author**

Javier DeLEON is a U.S. Navy veteran, Desert Storm veteran, retired U.S. Customs and Border Protection Officer, and the author of the *WALRUS* series, including *WALRUS*, *WALRUS II: The San Ysidro Files*, *WALRUS III: Origins – Full Circle*, and **WHQOPMAN 1-01 – WALRUS Headquarters Operations Manual**.

After serving ten years in the United States Navy, including service during **Operation Desert Storm**, Javier built a distinguished career with U.S. Customs and Border Protection, serving at some of the nation's busiest ports of entry, including San Ysidro, Otay Mesa, Brownsville, and Houston. Throughout his career, he participated in numerous narcotics interdictions, human smuggling investigations, and other significant law enforcement operations along the U.S. border.

Drawing on those real-world experiences, Javier writes action-thrillers that combine suspense, humor, and authenticity. His stories explore the challenges, dangers, and human side of military service and border security through memorable characters such as Tracker, Mayra, Old Salt, and the growing WALRUS Universe. His work also includes the fictional **WHQOPMAN 1-01**, an in-universe headquarters doctrine manual that expands the lore, traditions, and operating philosophy behind the WALRUS mission.

Now retired and living in Texas, Javier enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, and creating new adventures for readers around the world. He believes that everyone has a story worth telling—and that some of the most remarkable stories are found in places most people never see.

When asked what retirement is like, Javier simply smiles and says,

*"Now I'm just a simple man telling stories."*
