Karl Farrell

Karl Farrell is a Liverpool-born author who writes romantasy and dark romance with heart, heat, and moral complexity. His debut novel, Veiled Marks, is Book 1 of the Counterpart series — adult academy romantasy about fated bonds, buried family secrets, and pairings that are as dangerous as they are impossible to walk away from. It is the book he always wanted to find on the shelf. He also writes across genres, from children’s adventures to horror, and co-founded Simms & Farrell Publishing with illustrator Lucy Simms. Together they build stories where the words and the pictures grow up side by side. When he is not writing he is usually reading too widely, arguing about endings, or trying to make this his full-time job.
