Michael Buck was born in 1971 in Bremervörde, Germany, where he spent his childhood and teenage years. Growing up surrounded by the wide-open fields, forests, and moorlands of northern Germany left a lasting impression on him, although he could not have imagined at the time how deeply these landscapes would one day influence both his life and his writing.

In 2018, Michael made a life-changing decision. Looking for a fresh start and new opportunities for personal growth, he moved to Worpswede, a small town nestled in the heart of the legendary Devil's Moor (*Teufelsmoor*). There, he not only found a new career but also discovered a true sense of home.

From the very beginning, he was captivated by the peaceful beauty of the moor, its vast landscapes, and the countless myths, legends, and mysteries that surround it. The region's unique atmosphere has become an endless source of inspiration for his stories.

Today, Michael lives in Worpswede with his partner and their three beloved cats. Nature, animals, and the quiet beauty of the moor continue to play an important role in his life. Alongside writing, music is another great passion. As a semi-professional singer, he regularly performs on stage and enjoys touching people's hearts through music. Creativity has always been at the center of both his musical and literary journey.

For many years, Michael dreamed of writing and publishing his own books. What once seemed like a distant dream gradually became a goal—and eventually a reality. Today, nothing brings him greater joy than sharing his stories with readers and inviting them on thrilling, mysterious, and heartwarming adventures.

Michael writes across several genres, including thrillers and fantasy novels for teenagers and adults, as well as children's books. No matter the audience, his goal is always the same: to create memorable characters and tell stories that captivate readers and stay with them long after the final page.

His debut novel, **Moorleuchten – In the Mist Between the Times**, was inspired by his fascination with the mysterious world of the moor. What began as a simple idea gradually evolved into a full-length novel as new characters, scenes, and storylines came to life throughout the writing process.

His second novel, **What the Moor Kept (Nebelbruch)**, is an intense psychological thriller that reflects his growth as an author, featuring richer atmosphere, greater emotional depth, and an even more compelling style of storytelling. The novel is currently being translated into English, allowing readers around the world to experience the story.

With **Lino's Cat Gang**, Michael also fulfilled his dream of writing for children. The adventures of Lino and his friends hold a special place in his heart, and many more stories are already planned for the series.
