Francis Welch

Francis Welch is an author, speaker, and grief ministry leader whose ministry objective is, "Helping people discover hope beyond grief through biblical truth, compassionate care, and the faithful presence of Christ."

For more than twenty-five years Francis has served grieving individuals and families through support groups, church training, one-on-one encouragement, and practical resources that combine biblical truth with genuine compassion. His writing acknowledges honest questions, deep emotions, and daily challenges that accompany loss while gently pointing readers toward lasting hope.

Additionally for many years, through the ministry of Hope Beyond Our Grief, Francis has authored numerous video series and additional grief materials which can be found on Hope Beyond Our Grief's website.

Rather than offering quick answers or easy clichés, Francis writes from the conviction that grieving people need understanding, patience, and the reassuring presence of God. His books are practical, encouraging, and easy to read, whether someone has experienced a recent loss or is walking alongside a loved one who is grieving.

Francis lives in Florida, where he continues to write and develop Christ-centered resources that equip churches, caregivers, and individuals to minister effectively to those who are grieving. His desire is simple: that no one should have to walk through grief alone.

When he is not writing, Francis enjoys spending time with his wife, Patricia, their daughter, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He also enjoys gardening, serving in his local church, speaking, mentoring, and developing new grief care resources.
