Boby Jose is a London-based author and Information Technology consultant, with interests in food, and culture. Originally from Kerala, India, Boby combines a passion for storytelling with decades of lived experience across India and the UK. He guides complex systems to perform at their best and championing the idea that quality, like good cooking, is crafted with care, intention, and expertise, never by accident. He has led large programmes and survived more meetings than any human reasonably should, and this book is a welcome detour from dashboards and delivery plans.
The book is born from experience outside the boardroom, part road trip, and part edible memoir, the book deep dives into the heart of French cuisine. Along the way are café confessions, countryside banquets, Champagne pit-stops, and eighteen years of ‘research’ while working for a French company. This is not about Michelin stars or silver domes. The best way to know a country is not museums or monuments, it is the meals people still talk about after the plates are cleared.
When not untangling technical knots, Boby slows down - travels, eats well, and enjoys simple things like warm bread. Around France in 80 Plates combines his love of travel, food history and cultural discovery into a memorable gastronomic road trip across France
