Chris Perkin left school in England without qualifications, worked manual jobs, and fought his way into university and science. Over fifty years, he rose through every level of management — lab technician, study manager, department head, director, general manager, senior vice president — before becoming CEO of Altasciences, where he helped transform a company facing bankruptcy into an enterprise with nine facilities and half a billion dollars in annual revenue.
Along the way, he developed dozens of managers who followed him from company to company — not because he asked, but because they wanted to.
PharmaVOICE named Chris one of the 100 Most Inspiring Leaders in the Life Sciences Industry four consecutive years before awarding him lifetime Red Jacket Honoree status. He lives in Hudson, Quebec, with his wife, Nathalie, a cockatiel named Roxy, and a 1952 MG.
