David White

David White has spent more than forty-five years preaching and teaching God's Word in congregations of the churches of Christ, and his published curriculum represents one of the most comprehensive bodies of verse-by-verse adult Bible study material available for that setting. He received his formal training from the Southern California School of Evangelism and from Southern Christian University in Montgomery, Alabama. He serves his congregation in Hoover, Alabama as a deacon and teacher, and lives in nearby Indian Springs Village with his wife, Pam.

He is the author of four major curriculum series and one standalone study. Learning to Live with God (4 volumes, 52 lessons) traces the entire arc of Scripture chronologically from Genesis to Revelation, following the single thread of a holy God who refuses to let the relationship with His people stay broken. Conversations with Jesus (5 volumes, 66 lessons) walks through every recorded conversation of Jesus in chronological order — from the Jerusalem temple at age twelve to His final invitation in Revelation. Chronicles: Seeking the Lord (4 volumes, 52 lessons) offers a complete verse-by-verse study of First and Second Chronicles, organized around the two Hebrew verbs that drive the Chronicler's entire theological vision: דָּרַשׁ (dāraš), to seek, and עָזַב (ʿāzab), to forsake. Understanding Leviticus: Sacrifices, Feasts, and First-Person Narratives (26 lessons) makes the ancient sacrificial system and feast calendar impossible to skip — by showing Christ on every page.

Every series shares a distinctive approach: immersive first-person narratives that place the reader inside the biblical world before any teaching begins, careful study of the original Hebrew and Greek, verse-by-verse commentary, historically grounded illustrations, and discussion and reflection questions designed for both the longtime student and the newer reader of Scripture.

Theologically, David's curriculum is grounded in the convictions of the churches of Christ: the absolute authority of Scripture, baptism by immersion in water for the forgiveness of sins, a cappella congregational worship, and the restoration of New Testament Christianity as established on the day of Pentecost.
