C.L. Smith is a debut children’s fantasy author whose first book, Norga The Witch, invites young readers into whimsical worlds that spark curiosity and creative play. By day she works with animals—a vocation that feeds her empathy and sense of wonder—and by night she returns to the page, a lifelong writer of poems and adult fantasy who now focuses on stories for kids. Her tales emphasize imagination, heart, and the small truths that help children navigate big feelings. At home she’s surrounded by family: a husband, two dogs, eight children, and 17 grandchildren (with more to come), whose antics and stories provide constant inspiration. C.L. also balances storytelling with hands-on, real-world experience, bringing warmth and authenticity to every page.
