Münir Karataş is a Turkish author and essayist. His first book, Kıyamet Kapitalizmi (Apocalyptic Capitalism), develops a theory of "exterminism" — the rise of a capitalist order organized around extinction rather than growth, and the anatomy of that regime. His second, The Parenthesis of Modernity, is a collection of essays on technology, power, and what the modern idea of the self leaves out. He is a co-founder of Narratus Lab, an independent publishing house based in Çanakkale, Turkey, where he writes on capitalism, technology, and the civilizational stakes of the present.
