Alan Weintraub

I’m Alan (performing as Salvo)!

I love guitar and music. Since 2014, I have served as a music teacher with the New York City Department of Education, teaching hundreds of students in group classes and bands. I have also taught group and private lessons with the New York Guitar Academy and teach guitar at Teachers College, Columbia University, where I earned my master’s degree and am pursuing a doctorate in Music and Music Education. I hold New York State Professional Music Teacher Certification.

As a professional guitarist, I have performed in a wide range of musical projects since 2008. I released an instrumental album of original pieces and arrangements with the duo Salvo and Hugo, as well as a solo album of original songs blending Spanish, Latinx, bossa nova, and singer-songwriter influences under the name Salvo Música.
