Ken McGovern

Ken McGovern is Director of the Walton Alternative Investments Program at the Sam M. Walton College of Business. He is Principal at MCGOVERN (QuantiPhy dot com). He is author of The Investor’s Field Guide Series.

McGovern teaches Alternative Investments, Private Equity and Venture Capital, Investments, Derivatives Fixed Income Securities and Principles of Finance. Previously, Ken served as Chief Investment Officer at Flagstone Re, CFO and CRO at a 30 billion dollar AUM alternative asset manager in Dallas and as Director of Capital Markets at Walmart. Early in his career he worked for Morgan Stanley in NYC and consulted to NASA and at the USAF Satellite Testing Facility in Sunnyvale CA.

He holds a Masters in Mathematical Finance from Columbia University and degrees from Purdue and Maryland. He served as Adjunct Professor at SMU.
