Kate Mercer

Kate Mercer is a first-class law graduate, working professional, and mother. She came to university later than most, juggling work and family while studying law, and learned the hard way what it actually takes to achieve a first-class degree.

She created the *They Don't Teach You This* series because nobody wrote it for her.

Kate believes that every student and graduate, regardless of background or circumstance, deserves access to the knowledge that changes outcomes. The *They Don't Teach You This* series is her way of making that happen.

*The First Class Student* is Book 1 in the series. *The Graduate Game: AI Edition* is Book 2.

Her latest book, *The AI Reflex*, moves beyond the series to tackle a bigger question: what AI is doing to our thinking, and how to use it to get sharper instead of duller.

She lives in London.
