Mubarak Atmata

Mubarak Atmata is a lens-based visual artist and writer whose work transforms ordinary moments and everyday objects into reflections on time, space, and existence. His visual language emerges from attentive observation, finding meaning within the simplicity of lived experience. He believes that art does not belong exclusively to institutions, but exists naturally within life itself. For him, the camera is not merely a device for recording images, but a medium for quietly listening to the world. He has participated in several notable solo and group exhibitions and is a recipient of the Kerala Lalithakala Akademi State Award. He is the founder and coordinating trustee of the Atmata Foundation and serves as the Artistic Director of ArtNature.
