Those habits don't switch off when the question gets uncomfortable. When his mother died, he went looking — not through wishful thinking, but through the same method that had always served him: build a better instrument, and see what it reveals.

A software defined radio revealed an invisible world that had always been there — structured, organized, real — moving through every wall and every human body, completely undetected until the right receiver existed. That discovery re-framed everything he thought he understood about physics, consciousness, philosophy, and ancient scripture.

Across everything he does, he tries to hold one standard: don't believe what you haven't tested, and don't reject what you haven't examined. Everything else follows from that.
