Andrew Volkert

Andrew is a systems improvement strategist and professional learning facilitator. An education researcher by training, Andrew’s work focuses particularly on change and improvement in complex systems. Integrating core approaches from systems thinking, improvement science, liberatory design and lean leadership, Andrew's work supports schools and districts developing systems that reliably deliver high-quality instruction and learning conditions for every student, every day. Over the past 15 years, Andrew has partnered with organizations such as the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching, Teach Plus, American Institutes for Research (AIR), Partners in School Innovation, and a diverse range of school and district teams across California, Connecticut, Massachusetts, New York and Rhode Island. Andrew holds degrees from the University of California, Santa Barbara and Harvard University.
