Jo Lein

Dr. Jo Lein is an educator, coach, writer, and leadership developer who has spent nearly two decades helping teachers and school leaders grow in the messy, human, high-stakes reality of schools. She is the author of *Burn the Script: How Great Coaches Disrupt Mindsets and Transform Practice*, a book for coaches and leaders who believe real change requires more than better strategies—it requires unlearning the beliefs that keep people stuck.

Jo has worked as a teacher, school leader, principal coach, district leader, nonprofit founder, and leadership development designer. Her work focuses on mindset, practice, empathy, accountability, and the small, concrete moves that help educators transform what they do and what they believe is possible.

She writes through EduCoach on Substack, where she brings humor, candor, and practical tools to educators who are tired, hopeful, disempowered, fired up, or some chaotic combination of all four. Jo lives in Tulsa, Oklahoma, with her family, where she can often be found writing, practicing yoga, playing backgammon, rock climbing, or trying not to rage clean her house.
