I was born in a city I prefer not to name, to parents who always considered questions a breach of privacy. I studied literature at a university that mysteriously vanished from my résumé, and economics at another I attended mostly for the library's lighting and quiet corners.
I’ve lived in four countries, been politely asked to leave two, and speak three languages with an accent that continues to puzzle both linguists and tax auditors. I’ve worked in finance, publishing, and what I like to call "consulting"—though others described it as "showing up, drinking coffee, and having opinionated thoughts." Today, I live somewhere in Europe, in an apartment with good natural light, strong coffee, and an obscene number of books.
My first novel took eleven agonizing years to write. The ones that followed came at a breakneck pace. Today, the stack stands at over 50 published books—and the count refuses to stop. I discovered somewhere along the way that reality simply moves too slowly for the speed of my obsessions.
I write about people who are entirely convinced they have everything under control. As a category of human being, I find them inexhaustible, tragic, and endlessly entertaining.
If you’re looking for comforting certainties, you’ve come to the wrong place. But if you want stories about the exact moment the ground vanishes beneath someone's feet... step inside. The pages are already open.
