Jamie Nicole has spent her life helping people feel seen. For over twenty years she worked in hair and makeup, and the thing she loved most wasn't the artistry. It was watching someone look in the mirror and finally recognize themselves.

She knows what it feels like to grow up feeling invisible. To wonder if your voice matters. Her son changed everything. He helped her remember what it means to feel wonder again, and to believe that love doesn't have conditions.

That's why she writes for kids. Not the easy ones. The sensitive ones. The ones who feel too much, or not enough, or just different. She wants them to know they're not alone.

Her first book, Solen and the Treasure Beyond Gold, started as a bedtime story. It's about a boy and a dragon and a journey that teaches him the real treasure was inside him all along. Jamie still tells stories at bedtime. She still believes in happy endings. And she still thinks the bravest thing any of us can do is be exactly who we are.
