Susan Lanz

Susan Sorg Lanz is an educational leader, speaker, and ultra-runner whose life changed dramatically after a near-fatal ATV accident in 2016. Told she might never run or even walk properly again, Susan spent seven years rebuilding physically, mentally, and spiritually before achieving what once seemed impossible: running 100 miles.

Her debut book, I Am Alive, explores the power of perseverance, resilience, and the small daily decisions that turn into faithful steps that can transform a life. Susan's story of resilience has been featured by ABC News and The San Diego Union-Tribune. She lives in Southern California with her family and is passionate about helping others discover that it is never too early or too late to become who they were created to be. Through her writing and speaking, she encourages others to live courageously, embrace growth, and trust God through every season of life.

Beyond writing and speaking, Susan is active in her school, church, and ultra-running communities. She is also the founder of 100 Miles for Hope, a charity supporting clean water and Christian education for underserved children in Rwanda through Cindi’s Hope Academies.
