Gillian Silverthorn is the author of the memoir “Who We Choose to Be” She also writes short stories, with several published in CaféLit, including "The Barn" and "Cwmbran Swan". Her story "Inside" was selected for the Best of CaféLit anthology.
Originally from a small village in Hampshire, Gillian now lives in Sennen Cove, Cornwall, with her husband, Kevin. She has two grown children, Dominic and Emma, and a granddaughter, Mimi.
When she is not writing, Gillian splits her time between creative and physical challenges. She makes pottery that is sold in a local shop in Penzance. She also recently completed a 230-kilometre self-sufficient footrace in Kenya to raise funds for the rangers who protect local wildlife.
