Scherris Austin

I am a woman of great faith, devoted to living a life that honors God in heart, mind, body, and spirit. I am blessed to be married to a wonderful husband and overjoyed to have inherited five amazing bonus children through marriage. Family is deeply important to me, and my greatest desire is to see each of them grow closer to God as they walk in His love and purpose.

I have a genuine passion for service and am committed to supporting my church, strengthening families, and uplifting the community while sharing the love of Christ. I find joy in teaching Bible study, encouraging spiritual growth, and walking boldly in my God-given calling to serve with compassion, humility, and faith.

I am a dedicated professional with dual master’s degrees from American InterContinental University: a Master of Education specializing in Curriculum & Instruction for Educators and a Master of Business Administration specializing in Human Resource Management. With a strong background in workforce development. I dedicated 15 years of service to Joliet Job Corps, a federal program serving underprivileged youth ages 16–24.

My present journey as Program Supervisor in Joliet, Illinois is a reflection of my heartfelt passion for education, workforce readiness, and youth development. Every day, I am grateful for the opportunity to pour into the lives of others through curriculum development, program coordination, and human resource leadership. I strive to lead with compassion, integrity, and humility—walking alongside individuals as they overcome challenges, discover their potential, and step into lasting success. Above all, I seek to serve faithfully and give all glory and honor to God, who guides my purpose and calling.
