OpenCopy creates bilingual books for people who want to learn a language naturally, by reading something genuinely worth reading.

Our books place two languages side by side, allowing readers to follow the same story or passage one line at a time. Many titles also include small word-by-word translations beneath the original text, helping readers understand unfamiliar language without constantly reaching for a dictionary. There are no drills, tests or exercises. The focus is simply on reading, understanding and enjoying real writing.

For families, the OpenCopy Bilingual Bedtime series introduces children to classic stories by the Brothers Grimm, Charles Perrault and Hans Christian Andersen in French, German, Spanish and Italian, each paired with a warm English telling and brought to life with illustrations. The collection also includes a treasury of well-loved Bible stories for families to read together.

For older readers and independent language learners, OpenCopy publishes major works of world literature in their original language alongside clear English translations. Readers can encounter Kafka in German, Chekhov in Russian and many more influential writers, while following the meaning closely from sentence to sentence and word to word.
