Christopher Goostrey

Chris Goostrey is a senior HR executive with 26 years of experience building, rescuing, and transforming teams across industries — from first hires to multi-location operations. He holds the SHRM-SCP, the highest credential awarded by the Society for Human Resource Management.

He is the founder of HR for Humanity, a nonprofit providing low-cost and pro bono HR consulting to small business owners, underserved communities, and individuals reentering the workforce. He started it because he believes good HR shouldn’t be a privilege reserved for companies that can afford it.

His books — Hire Like a Boss, The HR Advantage, and The HR Myth — exist for the business owners and leaders who are figuring it out without a full HR department behind them.

He lives in West Michigan, where he spends his time hiking, camping, and making the most of everything the state has to offer.
