Reading has always been a huge passion of mine. I have had an idea for a book for a very long time but, always talked myself out of attempting to write one as authors write books, not “normal” people. My father in law sadly passed away in Feb 2025 and as we all do in times of grieving, we reflect on our own place in the world and our family. My parents are 80 and 77 now so I decided if I was ever to write one so they could see it, it had to be done sooner rather than later as time is not slowing down for any of us. This book is entirely fiction but there are stories based on real incidents that occurred with my Dad, who was a Police Chief Inspector. Some are very funny, some are exciting and some are truly heart-breaking. So, after many weekends and late evenings typing away, its finally here. It’s been fun writing it and getting to do it with my Dads help and also my Mums (a former school teacher). I’m incredibly proud it’s now available to buy and that they have been able to enjoy the experience with me.
